Before Shakespeare, few authors were as famous as Geoffrey Chaucer. A stallion of British Literature his Canterbury Tales grant us a glimpse of Old England.

Geoffrey Chaucer was born in England in 1343. He is known as the father of English literature and considered the greatest poet of the Middle Ages. He was the first poet to be buried in Poet's Corner of Westminster Abbey. Chaucer is best known today for his seminal work "The Canterbury Tales".
