Early 20th century America in the midst of massive environmental and animal rights violations. Upton Sinclair bringing forth reality through The Jungle. Bookish art.

Upton Sinclair was born in the United States in 1878. He had a prolific career, writing close to one hundred books in many genres. He achieved popularity in the first half of the twentieth century, acquiring particular fame for his classic muckraking novel The Jungle, which exposed conditions in the U.S. meat packing industry.

Saw blades form the shape of a pig's head, with an ominous red eye symbolizing the blood spilled by both workers and victims in the merciless meat industry at the turn of the century.
